Why the robot wanted Roz

My greenhouse

Last week on Monday room 18 made greenhouse the first. step was to cut your greenhouse out then Miss Lister gave us four cotton balls we could put the cotton balls where we wanted to .After we got a wet  paper towel and put it in .Finally we could decorate our greenhouse.

I learnt that the bird fly in a V  formation  . I think its interesting how the bird fly in a V.

Add numbers with coins

I was learning to add number with coins .It was easy to type the answer It was tricky to figer out the answer. I counted in tens to work out the cents.

On Tuesday room 18 went to Youth Town Nina and Kieran were the  coaches.  The  game than  we play were warn up and cat and mouse the equipment  than we used were hurdles , ladder , cones and agility poles. The first thing that we had to do was ladder and next we had to do the bunny hop over the hurdle  and then we had to do crab leg through the agility poles. the next game that we played was cat and mouse the first rule was to get in two groups they were cat group cats had to catch the moues. and We went back to room 18 and it was fun.

I was learning to make connections to self It was easy to type. It was tricky to think of the sentence.

Rounding to 10

I was learning to round up to ten. It was easy to put the number in the box. I looked at the 10s and then the 1s to find the closest  number.

Plurals s and es

It was easy to move the s and es. The es goes on words for the nouns then add the s ch sh and x

A plural  is a thing that has more then 1.
                         

Today we made some nest for the  wild  robot book I  made  a  plan.  First  we had to
      draw what the nest would  look like.  After we  went out  outside to  picked some   
                      leaves and twigs then we  made our nest. and  my gosling name
                                                                          is Ash.

Cross country race

I felt happy because I came 1st place for the girls.

It was tricky to go after it was so hot.

Maori Language Week

On Maori language week we learnt some of the feelings was harikoa and makariri. Harikoa means happy and makariri means cold.

I was learning to write a narrative story.  I learnt how to do a complication when there is a problem that happens. It was tricky to do the problem in my story.

I found it easy to find the 'or' sounds in the words.

I was learning about synonyms and antonyms. It was easy to put the right words in the boxes.

It was easy to put the speech marks in to sentence.

It was tricky to underline the words because command U.

Room 18 made Matariki stars the first step is get a stars and coloured it  and put pattern and write words and get chalk.

Maths: counting and ordering

I was learning to count and order numbers.  I can  put the numbers in the right order.  It was easy to move the number.

WALT: Making predictions

I was learning to making predictions. I can look at the pictures to help me. It was tricky to think about why I was thinking.

Writing: Instructions

1. Melt the butter .
2. Sprinkle the chocolate chips into the bowl
3. Mix the flour and baking powder.




I was learning to write instructions. I can use a verb to explain how to do something. It was easy to put them in the correct order.

I was learning to summarise. I can put the ideas in order.

Baking ANZAC biscuits.

Today room 18 made ANZAC biscuits.I put the coconut in the bowl and I rolled the dough and Miss Lister went to the staff room to cook it.

WALT: use Apostrophes

Maths: bonds to 20

I was learning to do bonds to 20 with adding.  It was easy to add 10. It was tricky to do the ones when the number is missing from the front.

Reading: talk about the main character

                                                   

Reading reflection I am learning to describe the main  character. It was tricky to write the sentence about what he is like.

Art: sketching a self portrait

Art reflection:I was learning  to  draw a  self   portrait   using a sketching pencil I learnt how to  draw  my eyes better. I was tricky to draw the hair because you just had ton lines.

Spelling:short vowel sounds

Spelling reflection:
I was learning to write words  with short vowel  sounds .I    can  sound  the words  out. It was easy to do the words out. It was easy to do the 'a' because know how to type words.

Spelling: short and long o sounds

Water skills: Starfish

My reflection :  I have been learning to 

do a starfish and float on my back. I can keep my body floating and chin up. I think  I am getting better.
